Ensuring cultural education for Black Americans to plant roots in the past and nurture a vision for the future.
A comprehensive knowledge of Black American culture, language, and heritage is the birthright of each and every Black American. We believe that this knowledge is an essential component to the development of a strong, unified, and prosperous community capable of meeting the challenges of cultural preservation and continuity in the internet age.
Today, Black Americans find themselves struggling against familiar forms of racism and social regression without the tight-knit communities, families, and houses of worship that enabled previous generations to survive.
Communities we built in our neighborhoods, our religious services, and our gatherings, have been exported to the digital sphere where they join a cacophony of voices and viewpoints. The constant influx of external voices in the digital world make it harder for us to hear each other, to remember grandma's stories, and to carry our cultural threads.
Now more than ever, Black Americans must urgently build community based institutions that foster safe spaces for cultural conversations, education, preservation, and proliferation. By supporting our organization, you will play an integral role in bringing those spaces to life.
